6 Inch Laptops: Get the Scoop on 6 Inch Laptop Computers
6 inch laptops really don't exist yet on the computer market. The closest thing currently available to 6 inch laptop computers would be the 7 inch Asus Eee PC, the 7 inch Everex CloudBook, or the 5.6 inch Fujitsu Lifebook tablet. Since small, lightweight PCs are continuing to get more popular, I wouldn't be surprised if 6 inch laptops become a reality sometime in the not too distant future. For now though let's take a look at the Asus Eee PC and the Everex Cloudbook.
Asus Eee PC - Just one inch wider than 6 inch laptop computers, the Eee PC comes in a variety of configurations. Prices range from $299 to about $399 on the Asus Eee mini PC with the $299 model typically including an Intel Mobile CPU, 512 MB DDR2 system memory, 2 GB solid state hard disk capacity, 802.11b/g wireless LAN, and Linux operating system. $399 models are basically the same but come with 4 GB solid state capacity and the option of getting Windows XP Home instead of the Linux-based operating system.

Mobile computers that are closest in size to 6 inch laptops are perfect for people who travel frequently or just want a low-priced laptop computer that can easily handle basic functions such as browsing the interent wirelessly and safely, checking and sending email, completing basic productivity work, and downloading or saving a reasonable amount of files. The Everex CloudBook is the better bet for storing files as it comes with a 30 GB hard drive capacity.
